Africa spray lance for growing roses is back in stock!

The Africa spray lance is back in stock. This spray lance makes it possible to apply protective agents to roses in a simple and effective way. Its effectiveness lies primarily in the minimal spillage of the protective agent that is applied. The Africa spray lance comes equipped with 3 standard nozzles and can be assembled with Teejet nozzles to adjust the type of spray distribution.

Diseases and pests in roses

Roses are very vulnerable to all kinds of external factors. Take aphids or caterpillars, for example, but also more persistent diseases such as powdery mildew and black spot. Powdery mildew is also known as white mold. You can recognise the disease by the presence of a white, floury fungus. When plants are infected with powdery mildew, they grow much slower and the leaves discolour. As a consequence, small black dots will appear on the leaves later in the summer. These dots grow bigger and bigger and are encircled by yellow edges, which tend to expand rapidly so that the whole leaf eventually turns yellow and then falls off. Infected roses are not fit to be sold on the market and the damage is enormous.

What is an Africa spray lance?

The Africa spray lance is a tool for growing roses. With this spray lance, roses can be provided with protection against diseases, pests and fungi in a simple and effective way. As the name suggests, the African spray lance is a product that is mainly used in Africa. A warm and dry region where the abovementioned diseases love to thrive the most. This newly developed Africa spray lance has a slightly different shape compared to the previous (no longer available) type. Thanks to the 3-nozzle head, the spray is distributed very evenly.

Various colours and sizes

The Africa spray lance can be fitted with a spray nozzle if required, which enables users to set the level of distribution per litre. Each colour has a different size and spray characteristic . The yellow and blue nozzle is the most commonly one.

Have a look at the spray table below to accurately calculate how much spraying fluid you need to apply when using the 3-nozzle Africa spray lance in combination with the different types of nozzles. To give an example: if you use the yellow nozzle, you will spray 1.02 litres per nozzle with a pressure level of 5 bar. Therefore, you can spray 3.06 litres per minute with the 3-D head Africa spray lance. The blue nozzle has a capacity of 1.52 litres when used at a pressure level of 5 bar. That works out at 4.56 litres per minute. This way, you can determine the exact level of distribution you want.
