Calcium Nitrate

Calcium nitrate is a water-soluble fertilizer that provides essential nutrients in the form of calcium (19% Ca) and nitrogen (15.5% N). It is widely used in agriculture and horticulture for promoting vigorous plant growth, especially in greenhouse environments. Calcium nitrate supports cell wall development, improves fruit quality, and helps in the prevention of various physiological disorders such as blossom end rot in tomatoes. It is highly effective when applied through fertigation systems and is suitable for a broad range of crops, including fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants.

Calcium nitrate is a source of calcium for use in fertilizer solutions in the agricultural and (greenhouse) horticultural sector. Calcium improves the rigidity of the cell walls and is a building block for cell membranes. Every plant needs calcium for healthy growth.

Nitrogen is the driving force behind fertilisation. Nitrogen promotes plant growth and photosynthesis. Nitrogen also postpones the ageing process.
