The Smart Carbon Source for Plants
Enhanced growth, stronger plants, better yields
BioCarb is an advanced, stabilised carbohydrate source that actively supports both plants and soil. This product helps growers worldwide make their crops healthier, more resilient and productive. BioCarb improves photosynthesis, boosts nutrient uptake and strengthens both leaves and roots. Suitable for all crops and soil types, it is easy to apply and combines perfectly with other products.
Natural CO₂-Boost and Nutrient Balance
BioCarb is a supplement to the traditional CO₂ addition in greenhouse crops – a practice particularly common in the Western Hemisphere, but less so in crops near the equator. By increasing carbon in the plant, BioCarb acts as a supplemental carbon source, a much-needed supplement to the CO₂ that stimulates increased photosynthesis.
A nitrogen deficiency often results in yellowing of plants, but with BioCarb you restore the balance between carbon and nitrogen in the soil, resulting in higher sugar levels. This leads to reduced insect pressure, more intense colour, better photosynthesis and higher yields, because after all, sugars and carbohydrates are the basis for healthy plant metabolism and growth.
Why Carbon is crucial for plants
Carbon is the fundamental building block of any plant. 47% of a plant’s dry matter is made up of carbon. While minerals are often the primary focus in horticulture, an adequate carbon supply is just as vital for strong, healthy growth.
With BioCarb, plants receive an additional energy source in the form of carbohydrates, stimulating cellulose and lignin formation. This leads to sturdier plants with increased resistance to pests and diseases. Additionally, BioCarb enhances soil life, improving nutrient availability for crops.
Foliar application with BioCarb Clear
Plant benefits
Dosage: 200 ml per 100 litres of water
Interval: Weekly foliar spraying on leaves
Application tip: The effect becomes visible after multiple applications. Can be combined with other products.
Root application with BioCarb
Benefits for the soil
Dosage: 50 litres per hectare
Interval: Apply every 2-4 weeks via drip irrigation or soil application, depending on soil type. The sandier the soil, the higher the application frequency.
Note: BioCarb may cause biofilm formation in pipes. This can easily be removed by
post-rinsing with hydrogen peroxide or acid.
