BioCarb (stabilized carbohydrate solution)

BioCarb is a high-quality, stabilized carbohydrate solution designed to enhance plant growth and soil health. It serves as a supplemental energy source for plants, promoting improved photosynthesis, nutrient uptake, and resistance to environmental stress when applied either as a foliar spray or directly to the soil. By supplying carbohydrates, BioCarb boosts both Shoot System (above-ground, stem, leaf and flower) and Root System (below-ground, root and soil) functions, supporting healthier, more resilient crops.

BioCarb (stabilized carbohydrate solution)

BioCarb is typically applied as a preventative treatment or at the early stages of a fungal disease outbreak. It is most effective when used:

  1. During periods of high humidity or wet weather, which are conducive to fungal growth.
  2. At the first signs of disease on the plant, such as spots or lesions caused by powdery mildew or other fungi.
  3. Before symptoms fully develop, especially if the crops or plants are known to be susceptible to fungal diseases in certain conditions.
  4. As part of an integrated pest management (IPM) approach, alternating with other fungicides to avoid resistance development.

For specific crops, timing and frequency of application might vary based on local conditions and the type of fungi being controlled.

Benefits of Foliar Application
BioCarb can be applied in various crops and on all soil types. When applied to leaves, it offers several above-ground benefits:

  1. Improves the opening of stomata (leaf pores)
  2. Boosts photosynthesis
  3. Enhances water evaporation
  4. Increases nutrient content in above-ground biomass
  5. Strengthens plant resistance to pests and diseases
  6. Intensifies leaf and flower color

Application Guidelines for Foliar Application

  • Dosage: 500ml BioCarb per 100 liters of water
  • Frequency: Weekly foliar spray
  • Tip: Start with smaller doses and increase gradually to allow the plant to adjust. BioCarb can be mixed with other products easily.

Benefits for the Soil
When applied to the soil, BioCarb provides significant below-ground effects:

  1. Enhances nutrient absorption
  2. Increases carbon levels in the soil
  3. Improves soil aeration
  4. Boosts water and nutrient retention
  5. Suppresses soil pathogens and weeds
  6. Accelerates the breakdown of organic matter
  7. Promotes a healthy, diverse soil ecosystem
  8. Improves root development
  9. Reduces nitrate leaching
  10. Adjusts soil pH
  11. Lowers sodium and aluminum toxicity

Application Guidelines for Soil

  • Dosage: 100 liters per hectare
  • Frequency: Every 2–4 weeks via irrigation, depending on soil type (more frequent for sandy soils).

Note:
BioCarb may cause biofilm formation in pipes and drip systems, as carbon is a food source for bacteria. Rinse with hydrogen peroxide or acid to resolve.
